Thank you to my supporters and volunteers for your hard work during my campaign.

Calvert County is a great place to live and to raise a family. Calvert has open spaces, reduced crime, excellent schools and pastoral living. The “quality of life” here is truly special. My family loves living in Calvert County.

Many people ask how our county can remain so idyllic and yet still be so close to Washington, D.C. Most of the other Counties in the Washington region have given in to developers and special interest groups, why not us? Well, the answer is that we have an engaged population that truly cares about what happens here.

For years, I volunteered as a defender of Calvert’s quality of life seeking the proper balance between social, economic and conservation issues. With a proper balance we will have a civil society, provide local businesses equitable incentives to improve our economy, protect our natural landscape and respect individual property rights.

I believe that a balanced and healthy local economy produces sufficient tax revenue to fully fund local government services including our public schools.

I am now a candidate to be a Calvert County Commissioner.

As a Commissioner, I will work hard to preserve, protect and enhance our quality of life.

I hope you will continue to visit the Campaign Website for important updates and news.

Thank you again for taking time to check out the Campaign.

With sincere appreciation,

Evan Slaughenhoupt (“Slog-n-hop”)
